Law Firm Hanbyul Holds Korea-China FTA Discussion with China ECLA

Law Firm Hanbyul, the only full member law firm in Korea of the Elite China Law firm Association (ECLA), an association of law firms in China, held a discussion on the 2015. On February 2, 2015, we held a discussion on the Korea-China FTA with representatives of ECLA in China at the conference room of the Korean Bar Association.

The event was held to discuss the contents and achievements of the Korea-China FTA and to explore ways for practical cooperation between Hanbyul and ECLA member law firms in light of the substantive conclusion of the Korea-China FTA. Mr. Ha Chang-woo, President of the Korean Bar Association, took time out of his busy schedule to deliver a congratulatory speech to celebrate the signing of the Korea-China FTA.

Hanbyul Law Firm presented a series of seminars on 'Korea-China FTA and ISD (Investor-State Disputes)' (Dongkyun Park), 'Korea-China FTA and Intellectual Property Rights' (Sunglim Lee), 'Korea-China FTA and the Opening of Legal Markets in Both Countries' (Raehyuk Kang), and 'Korea-China FTA and Finance' (Sangyoung Jung), At the ECLA in China, Mr. Choi presented on "China-Korea FTA and Legal Issues" (Mr. Ji-Hyung Device), "China-Korea FTA and Intellectual Property Protection Issues" (Mr. Ho-Woo Chen), and "China-Korea FTA and Trade Protectionism and Countermeasures" (Mr. Jin Guangxie).

After the Korea-China FTA discussion, Hanbyul Law Firm and ECLA issued a statement on "New Opportunities for Lawyers after the Korea-China FTA and the Outcomes of the 7th Korea-China Lawyers' Seminar.

Hanbyul will strengthen its legal partnership with ECLA in China to provide better legal services to Korean companies entering or planning to enter the Chinese market.
