Dankook University's Startup Support Center announced on May 31 that it signed a business agreement with law firm Hanbyul to provide free legal support for startups. The agreement was attended by Son Seung-woo, head of the Startup Support Center, and Byung-han Ahn and Hong-geun Jeon, lawyers at Hanbyul Law Firm.

Through this agreement, entrepreneurs who receive support from the Startup Support Center will be able to receive customized legal support to prevent legal risks from the beginning of their business and quickly obtain relief in the event of a dispute. Under the agreement, the support group and Hanbyul will cooperate in the areas of activating and maintaining business support for startups, mentoring to foster entrepreneurs, marketing and legal advice, cooperation and promotion of startup-related legal support activities, and legal support for technology transactions and technology commercialization.

Ahn Byung-han, a lawyer, said, "Until now, there have been many cases where entrepreneurs have suffered damages by conducting business and investments without proper legal knowledge." "We will strive to revitalize startups through legal support necessary for startups and business progress."

Meanwhile, Dankook University's Startup Support Group has been selected as a 'Startup Leading University Development Project' hosted by the Small and Medium Business Administration for the third consecutive year. Over the past two years, the startup support center has discovered more than 50 startup companies, achieved a total of 4.1 billion won in sales, applied for and registered more than 80 patents, and created more than 60 jobs.
